2005 NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!
oh...my...god!!!! BEST...GAME...EVER!!! if you dunno what i'm talking about, i disown you as a friend. ;)
we won the national championship, broke USC's "dynasty" winning streak, showed who REALLY deserves the heisman, AND have started an undefeated record in BCS bowls! yeah i got pissed at times. the refs sucked (i suspect corrupted by USC's $$), the commentators sucked (wtf is up w/ comparing the game to quidditch and all the "USC is the best team in history" crap!?! y'all are so fickle! turned your story right around in our favor the last few minutes didn't yall?), and we fumbled or missed kicks...alot, and there was some scary injuries....but....omg seeing the 'horns play and pull together so well was worth it all! leinart gettin shaken up by our tackles and listening him disgrace himself at the post-game interview was an extra bonus. =) com'on dude, saying vince plays "freakishly"!?! yeah...real classy...and i used to have respect for you. ya know how he was like "bring it" to us in that little scoffle? ...yeah, we sooo BROUGHT it!
so maybe that game was worth paying a grand to see in person. but i'm glad i stayed to watch it here and have everyone around to cheer and get crazy with me. i wouldn't know anyone else at the game anyways. we had the usual UT/almost-UT crew together and ate our orange buffet....cheetos, queso, carrots, oranges, cheesy pizza, orange cream soda...and downing root beer did seem to help the team play better heh. good times. at one point more girls were into the game than the guys, who were all huddled around the laptop...lame! ;) i laughed, yelled, was physically shaking from nerves the last few minutes...and i think i even shed a tear at the end *sniff* =) yes, i was sooo emotionally attached to the game.
oh, and now i get all the bragging rights at work too. i wore my "texas tradition" shirt today and i got comments on how ugly the color was and it being the "worst shirt ever!!" some random ppl in the cafeteria gave me hook 'ems though. yay! but ha! you USC/pac-10 fans, whatdya gotta say to me tomorrow punks!? i'm gonna be UT up in yo' face all week!...and then some! and i'm haning up my UT flag in the office. =P i can't wait to hear all the media reaction to this game. it's hard to not notice the lack of UT highlights during commercial breaks.
ok, i needa calm down. but i'm soo proud to be a longhorn!!

Congrats, Longhorns! You've earned it! Last year you said you'd be back, and you stuck to your word! Mack Brown, you rock! Vince Young, you rock! I don't care what anybody else says, this team is the best ever!
