winter fun!

so i've become a sun-loving texas gal turned snow bunny. oh, i still love scorching hot temperatures and sun, but i can't believe how much i'm enjoying winter too! I don't get that cold anymore, and winter activities are so fun!

saturday i went ice skating! yay! i miss it so much. i needa get my own pair of skates. i still remember some of my ice tricks that i used to do.

then sunday i went skiing...again heheh. this time it was steven's pass, and i LOVE it so much more that mt. baker. we had 15" of fresh snow. it was so cool being on untouched snow...it was so powdery and soft. the instructor was so much better this round, and the trails are nice and long. i finally got the chair lifts down, and i even went on a blue/intermediate slope! (my 2nd time skiing ever too!) we then went to leavenworth again (the german town) for dinner as a side trip.

so for the rest of the cold weather days, i also want to go snowshoeing at mt. rainier and take a trip up to Whistler (the awesome ski resort in canada where the 2010 olympics will be held!!) and of course more skating. =) there's possibly skiing both this weekend and/or next...that'd be 4 wks in a row for me and night ski opens this week too!! wow, i'm getting obsessed hahah. =P
