my super tiring saturday

it's so awesome....in any group, there's usually a majority of texans! volunteering totally sucked b/c i woke up at 8 to go pull up huge ivy vines (in the mud!) to save the trees that are suffocating from these plants crawling up them. our lunch break was only 20 minutes! but besides me and my UT friend, there was 4 other texas ppl! it was still pretty fun though and seeing how much area we cleared in the end was pretty cool.

the afterparty totally sucked. ok when you hear you catered BBQ and beer and live bands in a huge park, you'd think something like austin city limits or the wildflower festival in dallas with big booths and stages. nope, it was a small fenced off area for the "beer garden" and 2 lines for a sandwich. and they thought i would last 4 hours...i left after 30 minutes!

so everybody went home and crashed while i decided to do some shopping for my trip...i got my water sandals!

and at night half of the group that went downtown were texans too! hahah i think ppl some felt left out b/c they're not from the lone star state. well UT did a pretty good job at brainwashing us with texas pride....we ended up in the middle of the street sing the eyes of TX and doing texas fight hahaha. yes we are obnoxious.
