Cool. I can't remember the last time we shipped something. Last I heard we're still trying to kick 5.0.2 out the door (how long has it been since the 5.0.2 Beta? December? November?). Someone suggested that July would be our 5.1 ship date. Yeah freakin' right! I'd bet $100 we don't make it, but I doubt I can find anyone to bet agasint me.

Dude, that lake party was the "We haven't had a release party in like a year, and we've released like 200 products since then, and to quell threats of mutiny let's go out on the lake for half a day" party.

ahh, i remember the days. lu, the only difference with your company is, u guys must ship at that date no matter what. with us, we hold back if the quality isn't there.

Hm... How long has Longhorn been delayed? How long did it take to get NT5 (later known as Win2K) out? We have quality?

oh no, trust me, we got quality...we had to push back a little on this one, but the difference is that we know how to set and make our dates? ;)

yes, quality's super important...but for you guys...what's quality when yall cant even ship?!?! nobody's gonna see that quality. plus, i agree...what quality? :p

quality isn't measured in corporation. in the food industry, quality is fresh. in the design industry, quality is judgemental. in the computer industry, quality is the reciprocal of how many employees working on the project.

uh no, in the computer industry, quality is measured more by user satisfaction and minimal bugs...employee count may measure efficiency, but not quality. a single person may not produce high-quality code but then given enough time, a small team can give as high-quality as a large team that takes a short period of time.
